SSC photo and signature resizer
Get your signature and photo to the exact size and KB range SSC asks for, in one place.
What SSC asks for
| File | Size in pixels | File size | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signature | 236 × 79 (about 6 × 2 cm) | 10–20 KB | JPG |
| Photo | 275 × 354 (about 3.5 × 4.5 cm) | 20–50 KB | JPG |
For recent exams, SSC's application captures your photo live with the webcam or phone camera, so the signature is the file you usually have to upload. A correctly sized photo is still handy for other forms and for your records.
How to use it
- Choose Signature or Photo above.
- Add your picture and drag it so the signature or face fills the frame.
- Press Download and upload the JPG to the SSC form.
For the live photo, sit in front of a plain light wall, face a window or lamp, and remove your cap, mask and glasses. SSC rejects live photos taken with these on.
These sizes come from recent notifications and can change from one year to the next. Before you upload, compare them with the photo and signature section of your exam's official notification, and use Change size or format to adjust if it differs.

Is it safe?
Yes. Your photo and signature are processed by your own browser and never uploaded to a server, so nobody else can see them. Saving a new copy also removes hidden camera data, such as the GPS location where the photo was taken.
