Keeping the photo in shape

256 × 256 is a square. If your photo has a different shape, choose how to make it fit:

• Crop to fill cuts off the edges. Drag the preview or use the zoom slider to choose what stays in.
• Fit inside and add a border keeps the whole photo and fills the gaps with a color you pick.
• Stretch squeezes the photo to the new shape, which distorts it.

Is it safe?

Yes. The photo is opened and resized by your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, so nobody else can see it, and it works even if you go offline after the page has loaded. Saving a new copy also removes hidden camera data (EXIF), such as the GPS location where the photo was taken.
